so, no one’s here right now. they all went to UNIQUE LOS ANGELES and a vacation first. they left me, g.pete chickenpants in charge.

New goodies? Yes!

Greetings from thick in the middle of a never ending to-do list! I leave for San Diego in FOUR days. Which means no more putting things off to next week. It also means I'm closing shop for over a week. (On Friday. Ack!!) It's crunch time.

I'm trying hard to keep adding new things to the shop this week...but again, never ending to-do list.
Nevertheless, check out this victory of Claire vs. pre-show chores:

That's right. PROFESSIONALLY printed Chickenpants postcards! They're glossy! They're pretty! They come in a set of four! I couldn't be happier with these little cuties. I've listed a few of them in the ol' shop, if you want to check them out.

Hello my lovlies! How was your weekend? Me? Not bad. I found a pair of dark purple velvet Docs at a thrift shop...so fantastic!

This Monday I have exciting Absolutely Small news, though:
I have marked way down ALL the original paintings in the shop. ALL of them. Bad Dog paintings? Framed paintings? Tiny paintings? YES!
I need to free up some space in my studio and shop. 250+ listings is exhausting! I never seem to have the table space for them at shows, either. And I have so many new Chickenpants to share with you.
So grab them while you can. You can find them all in the Creature Closeout section of the shop.

New stuff round up!

It's been quite a week so far. Geez. Yesterday saw the release and near immediate sell out of the Regretsy 5 Chickenpants:

Pretty much what I dream of every day, actually. :)
Anyway, the original 5 may be gone, but I'm taking orders for similar Chickenpants made with Regretsy fabric. If the one you had your eye on is gone, no worries. I can make you a similar one. Like magic! Or, robots!

In other news, after an evening spent at Kinkos, I'm happy to announce that the Make a Bunny Head and Squid.RO zines are back in stock. Woo!

New Absolutely Small Goodies

Last week saw the release of Chickenpants #260, Grace. Which came at a really weird time, as the shop was then at 259 sales. So Chickenpants #260 could have been sale #260. It didn't work out that way, but that's okay. ^-^

I also listed a new plush bird named Finnegan:

And, maybe most excitingly, I released the first new Chickenpants Limited print in way too long, Snowed In:

I have plans for some great new prints for 2010! Actually, I've got rather a lot of plans swirling around in my head right now. I'm even doing an end of decade clear off all tables/desks clean up/organization effort right now. A herculean task, let me tell you.

Oh! And! I put the remaining simple style Chickenpants/Blythe capelets on sale.

Snatch 'em while you can. I've moved on to a totally different pattern. No more of these ones will be made.

Anyway, one last thing to share with you: the LAST Chickenpants button pack!

I am just about cleaned out of all the Chickenpants sticker/magnet/hair clippie goods, actually...time to order some more in fresh new designs!

Shop Update Wednesday!

It's that day again! Time to share some new creatures with you all.

First, I'd like to share a wee collage. This is something new for me. I'm probably not doing it 'right', but it is fun, so there.

I've been hoarding old books and scraps of paper for awhile, and I figured now's the time to break them out. The sentences in the collage are actually from a grade 3 English textbook. They were too perfect to alter! Anyway, here's it's perch in the shop.

And of course, there have been some new Chickenpants arrivals:

Shop Update Wednesday!

I am quite chuffed with myself at finally getting the shop updated. (Just like I said I would! On the very day that I said I would!) So as a special punishment treat, I thought I'd share a couple of the new arrivals.
Here goes!

First up is the exceptionally happy bird, Ethel. Some people call Ethel's color scheme dated. She prefers the term "vintage" however. I just love how happy she turned out. A lot of my creatures have been downright snarky lately, but not this one!


Next up is the new Chickenpants blank card. It's a variant of this CP Limited print. I'm really hoping to make more Chickenpants related goodies in 2009. Maybe stickers? T-shirts? Hmm. Any ideas?


And last but not least, we have a Wee Bun all bedecked in brown. And looking downright sneaky. What exactly are his plans for that coffee cup?

Goodies from the Shop Update

Oh my goodness is it ever winter. I planned on writing this post days ago. Anyway, here are a few of the lovelies from Friday's shop update. Forgive the photos- I haven't quite figured out the lighting in the new place.

One of the things I'm happiest about is finally getting a Chickenpants card posted to the shop. I don't know why it's taken me so long. Expect to see other varieties in the future! (If you have a request for a particular favorite, let me know!)

In other Chickenpants news, there's a new Chickenpants Grande in town named Aleene. I think one of the main reasons I don't post too many of these gigantors to the shop is because they are sooo hard to photograph well. Due to you know, the largeness. But they are so much fun in person!

Isobel lives in the forest, and obviously has a thing for jumping in and out of piles of leaves.











And that's just a few of the newbies in the shop. I've been relisting all weekend, so things are a little jumbled up in there right now. Look for the ones with only a few views. ^-^

Unique Los Angles, the quickie recap

Oh my goodness, I have so much to share with you all!
Things are beyond messy over here. You know how when you were a kid your mom would come into your room, wrinkle up her nose, and declare "This place is a pig sty!"
Well, let's just say mom's head would probably explode if she could see the flat now.
Anyway, that's not what I wanted to share with you. My point was that I can't get to my camera (or usb cables) at the moment, so we'll have to make do.
I met so many great artists and crafters over the weekend. And I must share with you this:

KLEAN Bath & Body was awesome as ever. Her new seasonal fragrances...yum! I can't recommend "Where angels go..." enough. It's a lovely cake-y sort of scent. Fabulous!

I have a fresh batch of cuties, a batch of deadlines, and a desire to procrastinate. Know what's a great way to solve these issues? Play with Photoshop!
