(Oh yeah, one of those bible guys. Oops! Guess I'll be dodging lightning all day.) But seriously, where there's bread, there's love and happiness and contentment - at least for this girl. I'm not sure I need much else. OK, maybe a slice or two of bacon;pTeddy Started Ithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12321502088842462294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368217216980926875.post-67537471787868038142010-02-24T15:48:45.569-08:002010-02-24T15:48:45.569-08:00sometimes I think I would gladly live on bread!sometimes I think I would gladly live on bread!Ericahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07196956539801242291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368217216980926875.post-41060197070296692992010-02-24T14:23:36.669-08:002010-02-24T14:23:36.669-08:00nothing beats a beautiful warm crusty buttered fre...nothing beats a beautiful warm crusty buttered french bread baton... yum!Babamoonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08536668395942975488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368217216980926875.post-91780292339587298022010-02-24T11:28:44.817-08:002010-02-24T11:28:44.817-08:00I love bread! Any kind of bread makes me happy, from dark, dense rye bread (the kind you can only get here, what the rest of the world calls rye bread doesn't hold a candle to our "ruisleipä") to fluffy white toast, I'm all for it! There really isn't anything more heavenly than fresh bread with maybe a bit of butter on top.

Sadly my bread baking attempts have resulted in doorstops and the one time I made buns they came out more like hockey pucks.Kitty Vanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00247210563160683644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368217216980926875.post-85964212023551645732010-02-24T10:52:50.896-08:002010-02-24T10:52:50.896-08:00Ohhh how I love homemade bread! If you want to try a multigrain bread that comes out quite perfect, try this recipe
http://www.ourbestbites.com/2009/11/no-knead-multigrain-bread-in-jar.html
It is wonderful!!! I make it all the time and it is great -- it's not completely whole grain, but at least has some in it!JootJoothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14449214674937134370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5368217216980926875.post-29148872157894360732010-02-24T09:09:31.519-08:002010-02-24T09:09:31.519-08:00I love homemade bread, too (or "artisan"...I love homemade bread, too (or "artisan" breads from the bakers). Nothing beats warm, soft inside-crunchy outside bread!

Make homemade butter and it's just heaven on a slice!
(heavy cream, fill half an empty jar; shake until your arm falls off and the whey separates from the cream leaving you a ball of butter; press out any remaining liquid--I just smooshed solid mass against the side of a bowl--and then enjoy. Add a pinch of salt if you want salted butter. Refridgerate just in case you didn't get out all the liquid, which will make the butter go rancid fast!)jennihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07881276908235651822noreply@blogger.com
