Peeking out of my hiding place

Oh, internets. I have been hit by a truck. Well, not a literal truck. A truck of...protein? Or sugar? I'm not really sure. Anyway! Turns out I am hypogylcemic. Turns out I am going to have to learn how to spell hypogylcemic. Hypoglycemic. There we go.
Feeling shaky, nauseous and exhausted basically all the time wasn't working for me anymore, so I called up Kaiser. Here is a reenactment of that historic phone call:
Me: "So, um, all those symptoms I just mentioned."
Doctor lazy: "Huh. You're hypoglycemic. Let's do some blood tests!"
Me: "Ok."
Doctor Lazy: "..."
Me: "Is there anything else?"
Doctor Lazy: "Oh, um, eat a lot of protein and lots of small meals. Take care, now!"
Right. So. In the mean time, I am tired and feeling quite ill every few hours while I try to figure this thing out. Any tips? I'd love to hear them.

Introducing Indie Samples!

Guess what?
I started a new blog! I kind of went on a tear buying up perfume and bath and body goodies from Etsy last week. This made me realize something: I found myself wondering if there would be samples/ little gifts with purchase, and if so what would they be, etc. And I spent a lot of time, and got rather a lot of enjoyment out of all this pondering. The realisation was: Hey, I'm not along in adoration of this particular gimmick. Wouldn't that make a fun blog? What indie businesses give you a little something extra with your order? Are any of them having extra special gifts with purchase? Thus, Indie Samples was born!

Interview with a Chickenpants

Hello, everyone. G. Pete Chickenpants here. Today I'll be interviewing one of the new additions to the brood, Miss Sakura Chickenpants!

G. Pete: So, Sakura, thank you for agreeing to do this interview with me for the blog.
Sakura: It's my pleasure, Pete. Also, I wasn't really up to much...
G.P.: No, I suppose not! Actually, let's talk about that: tell me about the plums.
S: Oh, well...OK. It's kind of a long story, but the end of it is that I basically ate all the plums off of a tree.
G.P.: ALL of them?
S: Yes.
G.P.: So, do you feel that these plums contributed to your height at all?
S: No, no. I was always the tallest girl in the brood.
G.P.: Interesting. So what's next for you?
S: Well, I heard something about the next Chickenpants Adventure movie having something to do with water- so maybe it's outside, you know? And outside is closer to plums. So I think I'm going to go for that. Also, I'm in the shop right now, so my plans are naturally a little open ended. Really, I'm just up for anything.
G.P.: Great! Well, thank you for being here today, and best wishes on your future fruit eating endeavors!

Summer Chickenpants

It's summer, and all the fruit is ripening.
Chickens, as you probably know, really enjoy nipping gardens in the bud, and sampling the best fruits and veggies...
Well, these Chickenpants have taken it to a new level. Each one of them ate so much high pigmented fruit that they positively...changed.
Fortunetly, only a few of them got out, so only a few have turned... And since they won't have access to this much good fruit all year, this makes them Summer Chickenpants.

You can shake your finger at them here. Stinkin' chickens.
